Gainesville Senior Care was founded with a simple belief: every senior deserves to age in place with dignity, comfort, and genuine human connection. Over 15 years ago, our founders recognized a need in the Gainesville community for home care that felt less like a service transaction and more like an extension of family. That principle guides everything we do today.

We are locally owned and operated — not a franchise, not a national chain. Every caregiver is personally interviewed, background-checked, and trained before joining our team. We carry full liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, so your family is protected. We're also in good standing with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the state body that oversees home care agencies in Florida.

What Makes Our Caregivers Different

We know that inviting someone into your home — and into your family — is an act of tremendous trust. That's why we are selective. Our caregiver selection process includes:

Level 2 FBI/FDLE background screenings on every caregiver, every year
In-person interviews with our care coordinators to assess compassion, reliability, and experience
Specialized dementia training for caregivers working with clients who have Alzheimer's or other memory conditions, following guidance from the Alzheimer's Association
CPR and first aid certification for all active caregivers
Ongoing training in senior safety, fall prevention, and client communication
